Erika graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Laval University, and began her career at Jean Coutu’s flagship location in downtown Montréal. In 2013, Erika moved to Toronto and continued to diversify her experience by practicing in both boutique compounding and corporate pharmacy settings. Erika was inspired to take an ownership role with Mortar + Pestle in 2019, allowing her to focus on providing the best individualized patient care possible. Erika believes enjoying an active lifestyle plays an important role in attaining whole-body wellness.
Mena’s career as a pharmacist began as a volunteer in 2000; a passion he continued by studying at University of Toronto and graduating from the Faculty of Pharmacy in 2008. After graduating, Mena gained valuable experience in multiple areas of pharmaceutical care including compounding, diabetes education, long-term care and opioid dependence treatment. His current areas of focus include acne treatment, sports-related pain management and male hormone replacement therapy. Mena believes a holistic approach to health provides the best patient outcome – one that includes lifestyle changes, complemented with traditional and custom pharmaceuticals.
Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from University of Toronto in 2010. Since then, Michael has gained experience in a variety of pharmacy settings. Over the last few years, he has shifted his focus to ownership and improving the customer experience at independent pharmacies. Michael believes that providing compounded medicines and offering private pharmacist consultations are excellent ways to utilize the expertise and knowledge of pharmacists, ultimately improving patient health outcomes.
